What is your relationship with the ocean?
I was born and raised in a small village close to the water, so I’ve always been drawn to the beautiful ocean and the fresh breeze from it. Despite my seasickness, my curiosity tends to take over, which has led me to experience the ocean in different ways and in different places around the world. From diving in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia to flying over the Great Blue Hole in Belize, some of the world’s best-known wonders. Places like these open my eyes to how incredible the ocean is and are reason enough for me to do what I can to protect it.

Where do you find your inspiration?
My greatest passion is traveling and exploring. I usually find inspiration for travel destinations on Instagram, where others share their personal experiences. When I’m on my travels, I’m inspired by the local people I meet along the way. Experiencing the different ways of life and being able to learn from each other always inspires me and is something I bring home with me from my travels, both in terms of sustainability, mindset, and culture.
What do you do for a greener everyday life?
To maintain a greener everyday life, I try, as much as possible, to offset the carbon emissions from my flights, use reusable water bottles, beeswax wraps for my food, cloth bags for shopping, and support green businesses that find alternative ways to produce more climate-friendly products (such as my latest purchase of clothing made from bamboo, which is 100% CO2 neutral during its growth period), as well as, of course, my current collaboration with byBiehl. I was drawn to the fact that the new Ocean Flow jewelry is made from 100% recycled materials under ethical conditions and supports a good cause, with 1 kg of plastic collected from the ocean for every piece of jewelry sold. Such a wonderful initiative!

How would you style Ocean Flow?
In the cold winter months, I’d style the Ocean Flow jewelry with a light-colored white or beige sweater and a pair of jeans. In summer, I’d style the Ocean Flow jewelry with a lovely, loose blue summer dress. I’d stack the jewelry with other pieces to add some interest to the look. For example, I personally love a simple look, such as the clean design of the rings and earrings, with a little sparkle added in, like a ring with beautiful gemstones. If you have multiple ear piercings, I also think it looks stunning to wear the large Ocean Flow earring in the lowest piercing, the gemstone earring in the next one, and then the smallest, simple Ocean Flow earring in the highest piercing, if you have three piercings in your earlobe. This creates the same look as with the rings, adding a little sparkle in the middle.
What do you do for yourself that makes you happy?
For me, being happy means, among other things, being surrounded by people who make me happy and support me. Another big factor is being able to pursue my passion for traveling and exploring. This also includes some lovely, refreshing hikes in beautiful Denmark. I should also mention that I’m a big coffee lover and have worked as a barista, so one small, simple thing in my everyday life that contributes to my happiness is being able to enjoy a good cup of coffee. For me, it’s not one thing I do that makes me happy, but the balance of many things that makes me feel happy in life.
