What is your relationship with the ocean like?
I was born and raised in a small village close to the water, so I’ve always been drawn to the beautiful ocean and the fresh breeze coming from it. Despite my seasickness, my curiosity tends to take over, which has led me to experience the ocean in different ways in different parts of the world. Everything from diving in the ‘The Great Barrier Reef ’ in Australia to flying over the ‘The Great Blue Hole in Belize’, some of the world’s most famous wonders. Places like these open my eyes to how amazing the ocean is, and that’s reason enough for me to do what I can to protect it.

Where do you find your inspiration?
My greatest passion is traveling and exploring. I usually find inspiration for travel destinations on Instagram, where others share their personal experiences. When I’m traveling, I’m inspired by the local people I meet along the way. Experiencing the different ways of life and being able to learn from one another is something that always inspires me and that I bring home with me from my travels, both in terms of sustainability, mindset, and culture.
What do you do for a greener everyday life?
To maintain a greener everyday life, I try, as much as possible, to offset the carbon emissions from my flights, use reusable water bottles, beeswax wraps for my food, cloth shopping bags, and support green businesses that find alternative ways to produce more climate-friendly products (such as my latest purchase of clothing made from bamboo, which is 100% CO2 neutral during its growth period), and of course, my current collaboration with byBiehl. I was drawn to the fact that the new Ocean Flow jewelry is made from 100% recycled materials under ethically responsible conditions and supports a good cause, with 1 kg of plastic also collected from the ocean for every piece of jewelry sold. Such a wonderful initiative!

How would you style Ocean Flow?
During the cold winter months, I would style the Ocean Flow jewelry with a light white or beige sweater and a pair of jeans. In summer, I would style the Ocean Flow jewelry with a lovely, loose blue summer dress. I would stack the jewelry with other pieces to add a little variety to the look. For example, I personally love a simple look, such as the simple design of the rings and earrings, with a little sparkle added in, like a ring with beautiful gemstones. If you have multiple ear piercings, I also think it looks stunning to wear the large Ocean Flow earring in the lowest piercing, the gemstone earring in the next one, and then the smallest, simple Ocean Flow earring in the highest piercing, if you have three piercings in your earlobe. This creates the same look as with the rings, with a little sparkle added in the middle.

What do you do for yourself that makes you happy?
Being happy means, among other things, being surrounded by people who make me happy and support me. Another important factor for me is being able to pursue my passion for traveling and exploring. This also includes some lovely, refreshing hikes in beautiful Denmark. I should also mention that I'm a big coffee lover and have worked as a barista, so one small, simple thing in my everyday life that contributes to my happiness is enjoying a good cup of coffee. For me, it's not one thing I do that makes me happy, but the balance between many things that makes me feel happy in life.
