What's your relationship with the sea like?
The sea heals me. I've been so lucky to live close to the sea my whole life - either in the USA or Denmark. And I couldn't imagine living any other way. The sea makes me feel calm.
The sound of the sea, the waves, everything just makes me happy. I can be stressed or sad, and as soon as I'm right down by the water's edge, everything just gets better.
How would you style Ocean Flow?
My style actually goes really well with Ocean Flow. I love all shades of blue; I'm most comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. Maybe a sweater if it's cold, sneakers or a pair of sturdy boots. My hair in a ponytail or braid, no makeup, and then I'm ready to take on the day.
What do for a greener everyday life?
When I walk along the water's edge, I always bring a bag so I can pick up litter, old bottles, etc. And in my everyday life, I of course make sure to sort my waste.
And if there's fruit in netting, I cut the netting into tiny pieces so no birds or fish can get caught in it. I also keep plenty of bags in my car for when I go shopping, so I don't have to use either paper bags or plastic bags from the store.
And my dream is to be able to afford to buy an electric car one day.
Where do you find inspiration?
My inspiration is definitely a long walk along the water.
You always find beautiful new treasures, stones, seashells, starfish. A piece of wood that has been bleached white by the sea can get you thinking. Where did it come from - maybe all the way from Africa? Who has touched it? What was it before?
